Gas fire suppression is a term used to describe the user of inert gases and chemical agents to extinguish fires, also known as clean agent fire suppression systems. These gaseous mixtures leave no residue behind and are designed to protect enclosures where there is a needed for quick reaction to extinguishing a fire. A fire detection system is needed to trigger the gas suppression system. The most common uses for gas suppression systems are in server and computer rooms, MCC cabinets, museums, libraries, art galleries, archives, document stores, medical and pharmaceutical applications.
